This year DC Candlelighters turns 20. Honoring our anniversary we are holding a $20 for 20 years campaign asking our supporters to donate $20, or more, to DC Candlelighters. These donations will help us continue to provide events for our families throughout the year including: Hospital Visits, Bingo, Game Night, Spa Night, Annual Easter Egg Roll on the National Mall, Rachel's Royal Tea, Family Fun Day, Pumpkin Patch at Cox Farms, Halloween Party and our Holiday Party where every child in the home gets a gift and the family gets a $100 gift card. DC Candlelighters provides direct financial assistance of $1,000 per year to families of children in treatment for cancer. DC Candlelighters also offers $1,000 in funeral assistance. Finally, DC Candlelighters proudly offers $1,000 scholarships to childhood cancer survivors (aged 17 to 30), to help with the costs of college, graduate school, technical school, or vocational school.
